Showcase: shape optimisation computations
Robust optimisation of mechanical structures
The aim here is to optimise a mechanical structure subjected to random loading.
The objective is to reduce the volume of the structure under a constraint (in the sense of optimisation)
on the mechanical stresses (typically the work of the forces exerted or the Van Mises (mechanical) stresses.
This work was carried out during G. Gargantini's thesis with Safran Helicopter Engines.
Multiphysic shape optimization: some problems relating to heat exchange
The specificity of the following calculations lies in the fact that the thin wall separating the heat transfer fluid from the insulation or the cold fluid in the thermal system is taken into account via a second-order interface condition. It is written using a Ventcell condition.
This work stems from the doctoral thesis by R. Zelada, which I co-supervised.
Multiphysic robust shape optimization with a time dependant state
We consider a thermoelastic body submitted to an exterior random heat flux. This comes from a collaboration with G. Gargantini,, H. Harbrecht and V. Karnaev.
